Safety for millions: 14 Ukrainian IT companies set ethical AI standards for innovative products

Artificial intelligence should be both useful and safe for people. Leading Ukrainian companies have signed a Voluntary Code of Conduct on the Ethical Use of AI, pledging to develop innovative products that uphold human rights.

Why does this matter?

It ensures Ukrainians can safely use cutting-edge AI-powered services. At the same time, companies will strengthen their market positions and attract investments more easily for the development of their products.

What rules have the companies established? Here are some of the most interesting ones:

1. Notify users when AI is being used in services and explain how its algorithms work.

2. Train AI systems on diverse datasets to reduce bias and prevent discrimination.

3. Clearly label content created by AI.

4. Develop mechanisms for collecting user feedback on AI systems.
