Innovation Day 2024: Startup Battle

The main event of Innovation Day was the Startup Battle, where eight innovative teams competed for valuable prizes, including a UAH 50,000 grant from the Vinnytsia City Council.

Startups in the competition:

Tayra.ai – AI assistant for doctors automating data during appointments.

MIL-SIM – Grenade launcher simulator for soldier training.

Instructor.in.ua – Platform for finding driving instructors.

AStime – Team management tool with JIRA integration.

Dalus – Software for modeling complex hardware systems.

Coffee for Veterans – Charity app for buying coffee for military personnel.

KO&KO – Collective purchasing service.

VELME – Platform for enhancing customer interactions in restaurants and stores.

The expert jury included representatives from IT, AI, startup development, and business innovation: Daria Nyshporska, Anatoliy Klepach, Maria Romanova, Yuriy Humenchuk, Volodymyr Romanenko, Sergiy Oprya, Ruslan Barabash, Mariana Tataryn.

Behind this Startup Battle stood not only the exciting pitches but also a lot of preparatory work done by the startups — and we were happy to contribute a little to their success.

To support the teams, the organizers established a dedicated pre-pitching preparation period. From our side, Mariana Tataryn, our business advisor and consultant, worked closely with the teams. She helped them refine their pitch decks, ensuring they would be compelling not only for the jury, but also for potential investors in the future.

This guidance boosted the startups’ confidence on stage and gave us valuable experience in advisory support and sharing our helicopter view — a strategic mindset we use in developing our own products.
